It requires an individual who will bridge the growing divide among members of the legal profession.

It requires an individual who can address the divergent interests of its members.
It requires an individual who can engage with the government on issues affecting the interests of its members.
It requires someone who will negotiate for more opportunities for its members where it matters.
The President of the Bar Association ought to be someone who listens to the concerns of members and is able to chart a way forward together with the General Legal Council.
The Bar Association needs an individual who will defend the Constitution and advocate for the rule of law.
It needs a President who will champion new opportunities for its members.
It also needs a President who will advocate for competitive remuneration packages for advocates, especially those entering the profession.
Madam Martina Bendu Egbenda will be a great President for the Bar Association, and I will be voting for her in the upcoming election.
