Carpenter Electrocuted While Roofing Building
A carpenter identified as Nabieu has reportedly died after being electrocuted while carrying out roofing work on a three-storey building along Torwama Road in Bo City.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 11th June 2026, while the deceased was working on the roof of the building.
According to reports, a zinc sheet he was handling came into contact with a naked high-tension electricity cable located close to the structure.
Witnesses said the electric shock struck him instantly, causing him to collapse.
He was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene before any medical assistance could be provided.
The incident has shocked residents of the area, with many expressing concern over the dangers posed by exposed high-voltage power lines near residential and commercial buildings.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
However, residents have called for improved safety measures and greater public awareness to prevent similar incidents.
Members of the public, particularly construction workers and property owners, have been urged to exercise caution when working near electricity lines and to report any exposed or dangerous cables to the relevant authorities.
