SLRU Executive Pays Courtesy Call on SLFA President Babadi Kamara

The Executive of the Sierra Leone Reporters Union (SLRU) has paid a courtesy call on Babadi Kamara, President of the Sierra Leone Football Association at SLFA Academy, Kingtom.

The visit was to congratulate the President on his recent election and to strengthen the bond between the media and the country’s football governing body. 

In her statement, SLRU President Yeanor Esther Kabia commended President Babadi for his victory, describing it as a testament to his leadership qualities and long-standing commitment to the development of football in Sierra Leone.

She assured him of the Union’s support in promoting transparency, professionalism, and positive reportage around national football activities. 

Responding, SLFA President Babadi Kamara expressed gratitude to the SLRU Executive for the visit, noting that the media plays a vital role in promoting sports development and building public confidence. He pledged to foster an open and collaborative relationship with journalists and media institutions nationwide. 

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both institutions to work together in promoting credible sports journalism and promoting the image of Sierra Leone football locally and internationally. 

The courtesy visit forms part of SLRU’s ongoing engagement with key national stakeholders to strengthen media partnerships and uphold professional standards within the journalism fraternity.
