The Guild of Newspaper Editors on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Brima Baluwa Koroma, as part of its ongoing engagements with key institutions.

Speaking during the visit, Guild Chairman Thomas Dixon thanked the NPRA for its continued support to the media. He said the Guild, which serves as the umbrella body for Editors in Sierra Leone, is meeting various entities to express appreciation and strengthen partnerships.
Chairman Dixon outlined some of the Guild’s short and long-term goals, including establishing a printing press for Editors as a one-stop shop on a cost-recovery basis and hosting an annual Editors’ summit. He also congratulated the NPRA for the international recognition it has received from the World Bank and IMF.
The Chairman ended by presenting the Strategic Plan to the NPRA boss

In his response, NPRA Director General Brima Baluwa Koroma expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the crucial role of the media. He noted that the agency’s growing visibility and attractiveness are key factors behind its progress.
DG Baluwa recalled the importance of media engagement during the COVID-19 period, stating that the NPRA was able to reach key partners through media platforms. He assured the Guild that the NPRA values the partnership and will continue to support the media at all times.
