The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has reminded all public officers required by law to declare their income, assets and liabilities to do so before the 20 July 2026 deadline.
In a public notice issued on Monday, the Commission urged public officers who have not yet completed the 2026 Asset Declaration Exercise to submit their declarations without delay through the online Asset Declaration Portal.
The ACC noted that the requirement applies to public officers on Grade 7 and above, elected public officials, presidential appointees, and persons holding fiduciary or financial responsibilities, among others, in accordance with the Anti-Corruption Act, 2008, as amended in 2019.
The Commission further warned that failure to submit declarations within the stipulated period, or knowingly providing false, inaccurate or misleading information, constitutes a violation of the law and may result in administrative sanctions and other penalties, including the withholding of salaries.
The ACC encouraged all affected public officers to comply with the legal requirement before the deadline to avoid sanctions.
For further information, the Commission advised members of the public to contact its Public Relations Office or visit the online Asset Declaration Portal.
