President Julius Maada Bio has inaugurated a new Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) district office in Kono, urging party members to remain united and focused on national development.

The office, named the Amina Maada Bio Hall, was officially commissioned in Koidu City in the presence of First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, party executives, traditional leaders, and supporters from across the district.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Bio described the new facility as a symbol of unity, loyalty, and the SLPP’s growing strength in Kono. He said the office would serve as a centre for coordination, mobilisation, and community engagement.

He called on party members and aspiring flagbearers to prioritise unity and focus on delivering government promises, stressing that the party’s success depends on discipline and collective effort.
First Lady Fatima Maada Bio praised supporters for their loyalty and encouraged women and young people to remain active in promoting peace and party unity.
SLPP National Chairman Jimmy Batilo Songa highlighted ongoing development projects in Kono, including a hospital and university, which he said are transforming the district into a growing hub of opportunity.
The event ended with renewed commitments from supporters to strengthen the SLPP’s presence in Kono and across Sierra Leone.
