Presenting the agreement for ratification, the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Fanday Turay, described it as an important step toward improving Sierra Leone’s transportation sector.
He noted that the amendment is intended to enhance operational efficiency and establish a special agency to support transportation development both within and outside the country.
Contributing to the debate, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business, Mathew Sahr Nyuma, said the agreement would help position Sierra Leone to strengthen its transport sector and meet international best practices.
He also highlighted the importance of quorum in parliamentary decision-making.
