NPRA Director General Engages Development Partners at Civic Day London

The Director General of the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Baluwa Koroma, has held strategic meetings with development partners and members of the Sierra Leonean diaspora at the maiden edition of Civic Day London.

The engagements focused on strengthening cooperation and promoting Sierra Leone’s downstream petroleum sector on the international stage.

During the meetings, Mr. Koroma highlighted key achievements of the NPRA, including improved regulatory oversight, enhanced revenue generation, and ongoing reforms aimed at making the sector more competitive within the sub-region.

He also held a bilateral meeting with the incoming British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Madam Josephine Gauld, where discussions centered on potential collaboration in regulatory compliance, capacity building, and digital transformation.

According to the NPRA Director General, these partnerships are expected to support the modernization of the petroleum sector and align it with international best practices.

The Civic Day London event provided a platform for engagement between Sierra Leonean institutions, development partners, and the diaspora community on national development priorities.
