The Institute for Governance Reform (IGR) has been reappointed as Afrobarometer’s National Partner for Sierra Leone for the next three survey rounds, covering Rounds 11 to 13.
The reappointment follows what Afrobarometer described as a competitive assessment and selection process in which IGR emerged as the top-performing institution.
In a letter to IGR, Afrobarometer Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Joseph Asunka, congratulated the organisation on its successful selection, noting that the appointment reflects confidence in IGR’s ability to deliver high-quality and independent public opinion research.
IGR welcomed the reappointment and expressed appreciation to its partners in Sierra Leone, including government institutions, media organisations, civil society groups, political parties, and international partners for their continued support and use of its research findings.
The organisation said it looks forward to working closely with stakeholders as preparations begin for Afrobarometer Round 11, with the aim of ensuring a successful survey and wide dissemination of the findings across the country.
The surveys will continue to be conducted under the technical supervision of the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Afrobarometer’s core partner for Anglophone West and North Africa.
Afrobarometer is a pan-African, non-partisan survey research network that provides data on citizens’ views about democracy, governance, and quality of life across Africa. Since 1999, it has completed ten survey rounds in up to 45 countries.
IGR is one of Sierra Leone’s leading independent public policy think tanks, focusing on governance, accountability, democratic institutions, and inclusive development through research and public engagement initiatives.
