First Lady Fatima Maada Bio has engaged members of the EBEMA Movement in Constituency 112, Goderich Community, Freetown, in a gathering aimed at strengthening grassroots solidarity and unity within the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP).
In a statement following the engagement, Mrs Bio said the gathering was not for campaign purposes but provided an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of her husband, President Julius Maada Bio, since they assumed office.

She emphasised the importance of preserving President Bio’s legacy, strengthening grassroots support and promoting continuity in governance ahead of the 2028 elections.
The First Lady said the EBEMA Movement would continue working to ensure that the SLPP remained united and politically strong.
She thanked the people of Goderich for their warm reception and continued commitment to the ideals of the SLPP.
“We are one people, one country,” she stated.
