The Commandant of the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA), ACP Brima Kamara Esq., has convened a general staff meeting at the Academy’s Hastings Campus to address key administrative and disciplinary issues affecting the institution.

The meeting, held on Saturday, 13th June 2026, brought together staff members to discuss concerns relating to unauthorized departure from the campus, absenteeism from duty, and ineffective supervision of recruits by billet fathers.
Addressing the gathering, ACP Kamara emphasized that such practices would not be tolerated under his administration and called on all staff to strictly comply with established rules and regulations.
Staff members were encouraged to share their views and recommendations on how to address the challenges, leading to constructive discussions aimed at improving discipline and operational effectiveness within the Academy.
The Commandant also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the vision of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, particularly in the area of capacity building. He stressed that no individual should become an obstacle to the progress and development of the institution.

Concluding the meeting, ACP Kamara urged all staff members to work together as a team, uphold professional standards, and remain committed to the mission and objectives of the Academy.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen discipline, professionalism, and effective administration at SILEA.
