United Bank for Africa (UBA) Sierra Leone has secured multiple awards at the 10th African Ovation Awards, highlighting its performance and leadership in the country’s banking sector.
The bank was named Best Bank of the Year, earning the Corporate Excellence Award in recognition of its strong performance, customer service, and contribution to financial sector development.
Managing Director and CEO, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura, also received the Best Corporate Leader of the Year award, acknowledging his role in driving the bank’s growth and strategic direction.
In addition, Sallieu Sesay, Head of Branding, Marketing, and Corporate Communications, was honoured with the Professional Excellence Award for his work in strengthening the bank’s brand and public engagement.
The awards ceremony, now in its 10th year, recognizes organizations and individuals across Africa for excellence, innovation, and impact.
UBA Sierra Leone was represented at the event by senior staff, including Brima Daramy, Head of Corporate Banking; Kelvin Sheku, Regional Head; Augustine Martin, External and Media Relations Officer; and James Titus Abu, Social Media and Website Coordinator.
The recognitions reflect the bank’s continued commitment to excellence, teamwork, and maintaining high standards in service delivery.
