Police Seize Massive Kush Haul at Malta Lane

Police at the Harbour Division have uncovered a large quantity of substance suspected to be Kush during a security operation at Malta Lane in the Fourah Bay Community.

The discovery was made by the Operations Team, led by ASP Francis Tommy, following a routine patrol.

During the operation, suspect Mathew Hindowa was arrested with 74 wraps of the suspected drug. Acting on information gathered at the scene, the team executed a search warrant at No. 11 Malta Lane, in a room allegedly belonging to another suspect, Unisa Koroma, also known as “Maff,” who is currently on the run.

The search led to the discovery of over 4,500 wraps, 15 ounces, and additional loose quantities of the suspected substance, along with Le 50,800 believed to be proceeds from sales.

All exhibits were secured as evidence for further investigation.

Local Unit Commander CSP Emmanuel Kpulun commended the officers for their professionalism and reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to combating the spread of Kush. He also assured residents that the police remain dedicated to maintaining safety in the community. The case is currently under investigation
