The initiative followed sustained sensitisation by the Community Relations Department (CRD) of Harbour Division, working with community chiefs, youths, market women, and other stakeholders.
The Local Unit Commander of Harbour Division, CSP John Borboh Koroma, was represented by Chief Inspector Anorld Joseph Caulker. The CRD team was led by Sub-Inspector Emanuel Dumbuya.

Other attendees included Chief Ya Boum Posseh, Chief Sesay, Chairlady Madam Mary, community Chairman Mr Ibrahim Kabba Sesay, LPPB Freetown East regional chairman and Secretary Mr Greene, organising Secretary Mr Bah, and several ZPPC chairmen.
The volunteers will support peace-building, crime prevention, and stronger cooperation between residents and the police.
