Sierra Leonean financial technology company Flot has launched a nationwide rewards campaign designed to encourage customers to connect their mobile wallets with bank accounts, with 40 cash winners to be selected every Friday and a grand prize trip for two to Dubai at the end of the campaign.
Dubbed “Link & Win,” the 13-week campaign runs from 1st October to 31st December 2026 and is being implemented in partnership with Zenith Bank Sierra Leone and Sky Bank Sierra Leone. Ecobank Sierra Leone is expected to join the initiative in the coming weeks.
Under the campaign, customers who link their Flot wallets to eligible bank accounts and transact by moving money between their wallets and bank accounts will automatically qualify for the weekly draws.
Each Friday, 40 winners will receive cash prizes ranging from SLE 200 to SLE 2,000, while one customer will ultimately win a trip for two to Dubai when the campaign concludes.
David Kpakima, Chief Executive Officer of Open Banking Hub, the company behind Flot, said the campaign was designed to bridge the gap between mobile wallets and traditional banking while making financial transactions more accessible and rewarding.
“Link & Win closes that gap. Link your account, move your money the way modern economies do, and every Friday an ordinary transaction becomes an extraordinary win,” Kpakima said.”
He added that the campaign would also promote greater participation in the formal financial system.
Customers without accounts at participating banks, as well as those with dormant accounts, will also be able to participate. Flot and its banking partners will support eligible customers in opening or reactivating accounts and linking them to their wallets.
Zenith Bank Sierra Leone Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ugochukwu Irechukwu, admitted that the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to innovation and customer-focused financial services.
“When a customer links a wallet to a bank account, they are not just entering a draw. They are stepping fully into the formal financial system, with everything that membership brings: security, records, credit history and access,” Irechukwu said.
Sky Bank Sierra Leone Managing Director and CEO, Fasasi Charles Adeniye, said the partnership was aimed at modernising banking and encouraging customers to maintain active financial accounts.
According to Adeniye, an active and linked bank account can strengthen an individual’s financial profile while contributing to wider economic activity.
To participate in Link & Win, customers are required to download the Flot application or open an existing wallet, complete the verification process and link the wallet to an eligible Zenith Bank or Sky Bank account.
Customers must then transact by moving money between their Flot wallet and linked bank account. Eligible transactions will automatically enter customers into the weekly Friday draw.
Winners will be announced through Flot’s official communication channels every Friday.
The company said the draws will be conducted transparently in accordance with the campaign’s published terms and conditions.
No additional fee is required to enter the promotion beyond applicable standard transaction charges
