The Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC) has continued engagements with key national stakeholders to assess progress on the implementation of the Agreement for National Unity and the Tripartite Committee recommendations.

On the second day of the dialogue process, the Commission met with representatives of Parliament and the All People’s Congress (APC) to review progress on institutional commitments and discuss steps needed to ensure the timely implementation of agreed recommendations before December 2026.
According to the Commission, the discussions focused on strengthening democratic institutions, promoting inclusive decision-making, and advancing national unity.
On the third day of the engagements, ICPNC held discussions with officials of the Office of National Security (ONS) in Freetown. The meeting examined how institutional commitments under the Agreement for National Unity and the Tripartite recommendations can be translated into practical actions.

The Commission emphasized that sustainable peace requires strong institutions, effective policies, and collaboration among stakeholders to promote national cohesion and development.
ICPNC reaffirmed its commitment to working with all relevant institutions to support the implementation of the recommendations and contribute to a more united and peaceful Sierra Leone.
