
The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has successfully concluded its Ordinary Congress in Bo City, marking the first Congress held under the leadership of President Babadi Kamara and his Executive Committee.
The three-day programme, which ran from 25 to 27 June 2026, brought together football stakeholders from across the country to discuss key issues relating to the development of the game.
The Congress proceedings took place at De Wizard Hall in Bo, where delegates deliberated on and unanimously approved all agenda items presented before them.

SLFA described the event as the first Congress in many years to be conducted without disruptions, disagreements, or procedural challenges, reflecting a renewed sense of unity within the football family.
Delegates expressed confidence in the leadership of President Babadi Kamara and pledged their support for the Association’s vision to develop football in Sierra Leone.
In his address, President Kamara thanked delegates for their support and assured them that the Executive Committee would continue to work in the best interests of football stakeholders across the country. He also acknowledged the contributions of sponsors and partners supporting football development.
The Congress was attended by several key stakeholders, including Minister of Sports Augusta James-Teima, National Sports Authority Executive Director Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, National Olympic Committee Chairman Prince Vandy Sualley, and a representative of WAFU Zone A.
The successful hosting of the Congress was widely praised as a positive step towards strengthening football governance, accountability, and development in Sierra Leone.
