
Leone Stars Team Manager Abdul Karim Bangura departed on Sunday for Rabat, Morocco, to participate in the FIFA Campus – Essential Course for National-Team Managers (2026 edition), which commenced on Monday, April 13, and will conclude on April 15, 2026.
The training programme, organized by FIFA in collaboration with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), is designed to strengthen the capacity of national-team managers through practical knowledge and professional development.
The four-week course, which included self-paced online modules and live virtual sessions with FIFA experts, was successfully completed prior to the in-person workshop now taking place in Rabat.
Key areas of focus include the roles and responsibilities of team managers, stakeholder and risk management, budget planning, tournament operations, and governance frameworks.
Speaking ahead of his departure, the Leone Stars Team Manager expressed appreciation for the opportunity. He noted that the training will enhance his understanding of his role and enable him to make a meaningful impact on the national team.
He also extended gratitude to the leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association for supporting his participation in the programme.
