The Patriotic Advocacy Network Sierra Leone (PAN) has on Friday, 6th February 2026, officially launched its new office space at No. 4 Andrew Street, Freetown, marking a major milestone in the organisation’s journey of civic engagement and national advocacy.

The event brought together board members, partners, supporters, and members of the public, all united by a shared vision of building a more responsible, inclusive, and patriotic Sierra Leone. The new office space stands as a symbol of PAN’s growth, resilience, and unwavering commitment to promoting good governance, youth empowerment, and national development.

Delivering her keynote remarks, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Madam Janet Kallon , expressed deep satisfaction with the progress the organisation has made since its inception. She described the opening of the new office as β€œa clear testimony of hard work, sacrifice, and collective commitment.” Madam Kallon noted that PAN-SL started as a small advocacy platform driven by passion for country, but has now evolved into a structured organisation with a growing national voice. She, however, challenged members and stakeholders not to be complacent, stressing that β€œgreater responsibility comes with growth,” and called for renewed dedication, discipline, and innovation to achieve the organisation’s long-term goals.

Adding her voice, Madam Zainab, a Board Member of PAN and Principal of Hill Valley Academy, underscored the importance of institutional development and partnerships. She commended PAN for creating a professional working environment that reflects seriousness and credibility. According to her, sustainable national development begins with strong institutions, and PAN’s new office space positions the organisation to better engage policymakers, communities, and young people. She encouraged the leadership to continue investing in capacity building and mentorship, particularly for the youth.

Sheku Kelfallah Fofanah Esq, a one of the founding members of PAN, delivered a powerful reflection on the organisation’s growth trajectory. He highlighted the challenges PAN faced in its early days, including limited resources and logistical constraints, but noted that perseverance and unity have brought the organisation this far. He described the office launch as β€œnot just a physical expansion, but a moral victory,” urging members to protect the organisation’s values of integrity, patriotism, and accountability as it continues to grow.

In his address, the Executive Director, Paul Jonathan Koroma , described the occasion as the dawn of a new chapter in PAN’s history. β€œThis is just the beginning of the organisation’s greatness,” he declared. Mr. Koroma emphasized that the new office will serve as a hub for ideas, advocacy campaigns, research, and community engagement. He reaffirmed PAN’s commitment to speaking truth to power, empowering citizens, and contributing meaningfully to national discourse, while calling on partners and stakeholders to continue supporting the organisation’s vision.

A touching statement was also delivered by The Chief Patriot, Ansumana Keita, who reflected on the human side of the organisation’s journey. He spoke about the sacrifices made by members, the belief that kept the team going during difficult times, and the hope that PAN represents for ordinary Sierra Leoneans. His remarks resonated emotionally with attendees, reminding them that advocacy is ultimately about people, dignity, and national pride.

Theriyeh Koroma-Nenneh, focused her statement on patriotism and self-development as foundations for national progress. She urged Sierra Leoneans, especially young people, to embrace patriotism not just in words but in action. According to her, developing the country starts with developing oneself through education, discipline, and civic responsibility. She praised PAN for promoting these values and encouraged the organisation to remain a moral compass in society.

The ceremony climaxed with the official opening of the new office space, symbolizing PAN’s readiness to scale up its operations and deepen its impact across Sierra Leone.
