The Ministry of Sports is currently reviewing the National Sports Authority Act, 2017, along with several sports policies across the country.

This review is part of the activities planned for the 2025 fiscal year and demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to policy reform.

Sports stakeholders are being engaged to provide comprehensive feedback aimed at developing a more efficient NSA Act in the coming year.

The sports policies include the Code of Conduct 1 & 2, the Ranking and Funding of Associations or Federations Policy, and the Gender Policy on Sports.

The Ministry has also started the recruitment of sports technocrats, who will be deployed across the country’s 16 districts.

These professionals will monitor and supervise sports activities in schools and communities, ensuring better coordination and development at the local level.
