Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, held a key meeting with United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed in New York, highlighting the country’s growing role in international peace and governance.

Following President Julius Maada Bio’s recent talks with the UN Secretary-General, Dr. Sengeh reaffirmed Sierra Leone’s strong commitment to the UN Charter and its leadership as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
As Chair of the Committee of Ten (C-10), which advocates for Africa’s representation on the Security Council, and Chair of the ECOWAS Authority, Sierra Leone continues to champion African interests on the global stage.
Dr. Sengeh emphasized the government’s focus on radical inclusion, a key part of President Bio’s policy to promote peace, fairness, and justice worldwide.
This meeting underscores Sierra Leone’s proactive diplomacy and its efforts to strengthen its influence in global governance.
