Sam Sumana Drags APC to PPRC
Former Vice President of Sierra Leone, Chief Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana has pursued external redress over his eligibility status in the APC.

According to the former VP, he revealed that he is entitled to an honorary membership card of his party, not ordinary.
With reference to section 60 E of the APC constitution, he further stated that he has met with the Elders Council of the party to amicably resolve the issue, but his efforts have proven futile.
“If my rightful card is given to me today, I’ll drop the case,” he added.
He clarified that he was driven from the APC not left voluntarily and that he and former President Koroma have long settled their impasse, a reason he instructed him to rejoin the APC.
He made a clarion call for all discriminatory clauses in the APC constitution to be expunged to ensure that it is in line with the superseding 1991 constitution of Sierra Leone.
Chief Sam Sumana shed light on the importance of Kono vote in reclaiming political power.
He called for a level playing field for all flagbearer aspirants.
The bone of contention is that the new APC constitution clearly states that whosoever wants to run for the party leadership must have been a fully paid member for a period of five years.
