The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education has released updates on the 2025 WASSCE results.
A total of 148,313 candidates registered for the exam, with 97,817 results released by WAEC. Results for 13,237 candidates were withheld, while 35,020 were absent.
Moreover, results for 3,537 candidates from 20 private schools remain withheld pending payments.
The pass rate for English was 11.77%, while Mathematics recorded a 47% pass rate.
Overall, 52% of candidates, representing 47,434 students, achieved five credits and above.
Roselyn Jalloh of Modern Academy Senior School of Excellence topped the exam with 4A1s, 3B2s, and 2B3s, achieving an average grade unit of 1.78.
The second position went to Affuah-James Russel of the International School Limited, with 6A1s, 2B3s, and 1C5, averaging 1.89.
Dele Peddle International High School recorded a 100% pass rate, emerging as the best-performing school overall.
