Transport Minister Tours New SLRSA Office Complex

The Minister of Transport and Aviation, Ambassador Col. (Rtd) Alhaji Fanday Turay, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the new office complex of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) at Africanus Road in Freetown.

The Minister made the remarks on Wednesday, 7 January 2026, during a working visit to the facility, where he was received by the Authority’s management team led by Executive Director James Bagie Bio and Deputy Executive Director Josie Abraham Scott-Manga.

During the tour, the Project Manager, Abel Onomake, took the Minister through key areas of the complex, including the licensing hall, conference hall, boardroom, canteen, gym, and several administrative offices.

Addressing the Minister, Executive Director James Bagie Bio said the project, which commenced in 2014, is progressing steadily and that the Authority is committed to ensuring its timely completion. He thanked the Minister for his continued support and reaffirmed SLRSA’s commitment to improving road safety and service delivery across the country.

The Minister commended the leadership of SLRSA for their dedication and effective management of the project, noting that the development aligns with the infrastructure vision of President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.

Project Manager Abel Onomake disclosed that the new office complex is expected to be completed and ready for occupation by March 2026.
