In a sustained effort to combat the trafficking and abuse of narcotic drugs, a joint security team comprising personnel from the Sierra Leone Police (SLP), the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the National Public Health Agency (NPHA) conducted a series of coordinated operations on Friday, 31st October, and Saturday, 1st November 2025.
On Friday, 31st October 2025, the team arrested Abdulai Janneh of Juldeh Drive, Allen Town, for being in possession of two boxes of 250mg Tramadol On the same day, Aminata Brainard and Aaron Brainard, both residents of 55 Leicester Road, were apprehended with 541 wraps of suspected Kush and 20 wraps of cannabis sativa
Continuing the operation on Saturday, 1st November 2025, the joint team extended its raids to the Waterloo community, resulting in the arrest of 23 individuals, both male and female.
The team recovered several exhibits, including 890 wraps of suspected Kush, 231 wraps and loose quantities of cannabis sativa, and 200 tablets of Tramadol.
The joint operation underscores the security sector’s commitment to curbing the spread of illicit drugs and maintaining public safety across Sierra Leone.
