
The National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, has chaired a high-level session at the African Political Parties Summit held in Accra, Ghana.

Sir Jimmy steered discussions on Internal Governance, Party Financing, and Structural Resilience, bringing together top political figures and experts from across the continent.
The session featured notable panelists, including Prof. Roger Koranteng of the Commonwealth Secretariat, former Central African Republic Prime Minister Martin Ziguele, Prof. Baffour Agyemand Duah of the John A. Kufuor Foundation, Bishop Trevor Mwamba, and Mrs. Grace Ngwafor.
Sir Jimmy was praised for highlighting Sierra Leone’s growing role in African political affairs. He attended the summit alongside SLPP Secretary-General Hon. Umaru Para Tarawally, Public Relations Officer Moses Mambu, National Young Generation Leader Ing. Francis Alpha Kallon, and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Hon. Mathew Nyuma.
The summit ended with a renewed call for unity and cooperation among African political parties to tackle common challenges and strengthen democratic growth on the continent.
