Sierra Leone to Host One Nation Reggae Festival 2025

Sierra Leone will host the One Nation Reggae Festival from 25 to 30 November 2025, celebrating the shared cultural heritage of Sierra Leone, Jamaica, and the Caribbean, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs Nabeela Tunis stated.

The festival will kick off on 25 November with an official launch by President Julius Maada Bio at the Bintumani Conference Center.

Highlights include a Freedom Tour to national heritage sites on 26 November, a Creative Clinic and VIP Showcase on 27 November, and a Grand Reggae Concert at Radisson Blu on 28 November, with tickets ranging from NLe 200–1,500.

The festival will close with a Reggae Freestyle, Bonfire at ZUZAZ, Ferry Junction, and an All-White Heritage Celebration on Bunce Island on 29–30 November.

Minister Tunis said 50% of festival proceeds will support the establishment of the Creative Village and confirmed that the World Bank–funded Leicester Peak project will be completed next year.

Ahead of the festival, a major float parade is planned for 22 November 2025, from Waterloo to Lumley Beach, Foday Jalloh, Director of Culture, Creativity, and Innovation, announced.

He also clarified that $45,000 allocated for the renovation of the Fourah Bay College monument at Cline Town is being used for structural restoration through the World Heritage Fund.
