Sierra Leone Holds Cameroon to 9-Wicket Win

The Sierra Leone Under-19 Women’s Team on Wednesday raced for a decisive blow and thumped the West Central African side Cameroon by nine wickets to go third in the ongoing two-slot campaign of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Division m 2 Qualifier in Kampala, Uganda.

Cameroon scored 37 all out in 12.4 overs (readjusted for 13 overs due to weather).

Sierra Leone replied with 38 for the loss of one in 7.2 overs.

The quick charge saw Theresa Tommy winning Woman of the Match award, having posted 18 runs from 22 balls not out.

The Junior Women’s Patriots lost their opening match against Malawi, current log leader, by appalling 70 runs.
