Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Evelyn Edem A. Agbitor from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana, has paid a courtesy visit to the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Sahr Yomba Senesi, at the Senior Police Officers’ Mess in Kingtom.

The visit centered around a planned collaborative policing training for Sierra Leone’s security forces. The upcoming training, set for 8th to 19th September 2025 in Freetown, aims to promote teamwork, clarify roles and responsibilities, and reduce inter-agency conflict among personnel from the Police, Military, Immigration, Fire Force, and Correctional Services.
DIG Senesi welcomed the initiative, calling it an important step in strengthening bonds between security agencies. He noted that Sierra Leone’s security forces have a long history of cooperation, and the training will help renew and deepen that collaboration.
ACP Agbitor commended the country’s security institutions for their existing coordination, but emphasized that the training would add further value by enhancing unity and conflict management among personnel.
Also speaking at the event, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Andrew M. Kamara, expressed strong support for the program. He pledged full participation from the police and described the training as valuable for the future of national security.
