Leone Rock has boosted the Sierra Leone Premier League by donating seven changing boards and seven sets of referee communication gadgets for use across the country’s seven playing venues.

The presentation was made to Vice President 2 of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Prince Saquee, and North-West Region Chairman and Executive Committee member, Abdul Osman Turay (AOT). Speaking at the event, Senior Admin Officer of Leone Rock Metal Group, Brima Turay, said the donation represents a major step in improving match officiating.
He noted that when the league started, plans were made to procure items to support referees, and this is the first time such equipment has been provided.
He added that the move is part of Leone Rock’s effort to reduce errors in the league and improve its credibility.
In his response, Vice President 2 Prince Saquee described communication as key in football, stating that the gadgets will help address challenges faced by match officials.

He thanked Leone Rock on behalf of the SLFA President and Executive Committee, describing the partnership as valuable to the growth of the game.
The VP2 also encouraged the company to continue its support and consider increasing sponsorship in future seasons, noting that the current support represents a major boost for football in the country.
