The Operations Team of the Harbour Police Division, led by ASP Francis M. Tommy, on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, arrested two individuals for the unlawful possession of substances suspected to be narcotics.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., officers apprehended Alpha Ajarty of No. 59 Osman Lane, Calabatown, Freetown, in the Bomeh Community for unlawfully possessing a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Later the same day, at around 1:30 p.m., the team also arrested Abubakarr Kamara of No. 65 Mamba Ridge, Moyeba Community, Freetown, at PWD Junction for unlawfully possessing 90 wraps of a substance suspected to be Kush.

Commenting on the arrests, ASP Tommy stated:
“The Harbour Police Division will continue to intensify its operations to rid communities of dangerous drugs and substances that destroy lives, especially the lives of our youths.”
Both suspects are currently assisting the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) with ongoing investigations.
