Chairman of the National Council of Civic Education and Democracy (NaCCED), Joseph Munda Bindi, has mentioned plans to establish civic clubs in schools to educate children about their civic responsibilities.

He added that the council will also sensitize citizens on the constitutional reform process and the upcoming national census, focusing on what citizens need to know and how these initiatives will benefit them.

In a separate update, Saliful Lahai Sumah, the Government Printer, disclosed that the Government Printing Department is undergoing a major transformation.

The project will receive a US$5 million investment from Diming Yimo, a Chinese company, in partnership with a Canadian printing production firm.

He confirmed that Cabinet has approved the joint agreement with the Chinese company and has directed all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to use the Government Printing Department for all categories of printing. The initiatives aim to strengthen civic awareness among youth and enhance the efficiency and service delivery of government printing services across Sierra Leone
