The British Peace Support Team–Africa (BPST-A), in partnership with the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) Training and Peacekeeping Departments, has launched a three-day workshop to improve computer literacy and professional report writing skills among female police officers.

The training, held at the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA) in Hastings, brings together twenty female officers of varying ranks.
It aims to equip them with essential skills for effective participation in United Nations (UN) and African Union (AU) peacekeeping missions.
Participants are learning computer applications for office and field work, professional report writing techniques, and the preparation of different UN and AU operational reports, emphasizing accuracy and accountability.

The sessions are led by experienced international policing experts, including Madam Peace Ibekwe, former Deputy Inspector General of the Nigerian Police, and Mr. Rex Dundun, a retired Assistant Inspector General with UN and AU mission experience in Darfur, Sudan, and Somalia.
The programme highlights BPST-A and SLP’s commitment to empowering female officers and strengthening their capacity for international deployments.
