Magistrate Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 has denied bail to the All People’s Congress (APC) National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya Esq., following his first appearance in court on Thursday.
Mr. Dumbuya is facing three charges brought by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID); incitement, insulting conduct, and public insult against the sitting President.
Magistrate Braima Jah ruled against bail, and Mr. Dumbuya has been sent to Pademba Road prison.
The case has been adjourned to 16 February 2026 for further hearing.
The APC Scribe has delegated his party responsibilities to the Organizing Secretary, Chenor Kamara.
Meanwhile, the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) suspended the APC on Wednesday and imposed a fine of Le 350,000 on the party.
The APC paid the fine the same, and the suspension has been lifted by PPRC.
