The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Reggae Union of Sierra Leone and Olive Garden, hosted the inaugural One Nation Reggae Festival at Family Kingdom, Aberdeen Beach Road.
The festival was filled with vibrant energy, featuring live bands, performers, and DJs who brought Reggae music to life in a uniquely Sierra Leonean way. The event celebrated peace and unity, aligning with the Year of Ecotourism campaign that connects culture, community, and conservation.

In addition to entertainment, the festival included an educational session for students to share Sierra Leone’s rich history and values with future generations.
Dignitaries and guests from diverse backgrounds, including friends from the Caribbean, attended the event. Speakers highlighted the festival’s role in honoring reggae legends like Amara Kabba and celebrating the shared heritage and bonds between cultures.
The festival concluded with the lighting of a symbolic “flame of unity,” representing togetherness and the ongoing journey toward freedom and empowerment
