The leadership of the All People’s Congress (APC) and family members of the late Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray have expressed gratitude to President Dr. Julius Maada Bio for his swift intervention and support following the politician’s passing.
The delegation made the appreciation during a visit to State House, where they noted the President’s prompt action in facilitating the repatriation of the late statesman’s remains from Dakar, Senegal, where he died on Tuesday, 16 June 2026.
Speaking on behalf of the APC and the bereaved family, Acting APC Chairman Hon. Osman Foday Yansaneh thanked President Bio for his compassion and continued concern during the late Mansaray’s illness, describing his support as timely and commendable.
Responding, President Bio expressed condolences to the family and the APC, describing the late Hon. Mansaray as a respected statesman whose contributions to national development transcended political lines.
He assured the delegation of Government’s support in ensuring a dignified funeral for the late politician and encouraged the family to find comfort in his legacy.
President Bio concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.
