Chairperson of the Wi Duti Movement, Zainab Sheriff, has been denied bail for the third time and sent back on remand at Pademba Road Court No. 1.
She faces charges of incitement and using threatening language, to which she pleaded not guilty.
During the hearing, lead prosecution counsel Yusuf I. Sesay submitted a video and other evidence, which were admitted as exhibits.
The defence, led by RSV Wright, challenged the video’s admissibility, citing the absence of a competent witness to confirm authorship, but the magistrate ruled in favour of the prosecution.
Zainab Sheriff’s defence applied for bail again, but it was denied.
The case has been adjourned to 11 March 2026.
