The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has formally presented five policy documents to the Office of the Administrator and Registrar General (OARG) aimed at improving governance, accountability, and service delivery.
The presentation, which took place on 28th January 2026, covered policies on Fuel Distribution and Allocation Management, ICT and Digital Management, Petty Cash, Assets Management, and Gifts and Register. It was conducted under Section 7(2) of the Anti-Corruption Act, 2008 (as amended 2019), which mandates the ACC to review systems and processes of public institutions to identify corruption risks and recommend preventive measures.
Speaking during the presentation, ACC Coordinator of Operations, Patrick Sandi, highlighted the objectives of the policies, compliance requirements, implementation frameworks, and the roles of OARG in ensuring effective adoption. He also outlined monitoring and accountability mechanisms to ensure sustained compliance.
Head of the ACC Policy and Ethics Unit, Musa Kanteh, said the initiative forms part of the Commission’s prevention approach to strengthen internal controls, reduce corruption opportunities, and improve service delivery. He emphasized that collaboration with OARG would enhance governance within the institution.
Welcoming the ACC delegation, Administrator and Registrar General Martina Baindu Egbenda Esq. described the initiative as timely and necessary. She formally accepted and endorsed the policies, noting that they will significantly strengthen operational systems, improve accountability, and enhance public service delivery at the OARG.
