ETU Convocation: VP Calls for Values-Based Leadership

Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has inspired over 12,000 graduands of Eastern Technical University (ETU) to embrace leadership as a personal responsibility grounded in integrity, commitment, and social values.

Delivering the keynote address at ETU’s fourth convocation ceremony, Dr. Jalloh urged graduates to link their academic knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and social responsibility to create meaningful leadership opportunities.

Reflecting on ETU’s journey from a polytechnic to a university, he expressed pride in being part of the transition process and congratulated all graduands on their achievement.

The VP also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education, highlighting President Julius Maada Bio’s belief that education is key to Sierra Leone’s development and future prosperity.

He encouraged graduands to pursue opportunities with honesty, sacrifice, and respect, emphasizing that true leadership is demonstrated through actions and values, not merely position.
