On 14 December 2025, Guinée Nouvelle officially opened its office in Freetown, located at Hastings Junction, marking a significant milestone in strengthening ties between Guinea and Sierra Leone.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the head of Guinée Nouvelle in Sierra Leone, Mr. Alhaji Osman Jalloh Simadu, emphasized the deep historical and cultural bonds between the two countries. He noted that although Guinea and Sierra Leone are now separate nations, their people share common roots that long predate colonial boundaries.
“My parents are from Guinea, but Guinea and Sierra Leone have enjoyed a bilateral relationship from the beginning of time,” Mr. Simadu said. “If you look at history, these two countries were once the same people and were only divided by colonial powers. If Guinea succeeds, Sierra Leone succeeds, and if Sierra Leone succeeds, Guinea succeeds.”
He explained that the expansion of Guinée Nouvelle into Sierra Leone is part of a broader vision to strengthen unity and cooperation between the two nations.eens ording to him, the movement could not be confined to Guinea alone, given the longstanding relationship and shared destiny of both countries.
“My personal aim and objective is to unite the people of Guinea and Sierra Leone,” he stated. “That is one of the reasons we decided that this movement cannot exist only in Guinea. We have traveled across Guinea, but it was important to also include Sierra Leone in this bilateral relationship that has existed for many years.”

Mr. Simadu further called on all Guinean nationals living in Sierra Leone to actively participate in the upcoming Guinean elections by voting for Mr. Manadi Doumbouya on 28 December 2025. He assured the Guinean community that transportation and other necessary logistics would be provided to facilitate their participation in the voting process.
The opening of the Guinée Nouvelle office in Freetown is expected to further enhance political engagement, cooperation, and unity between Guineans and Sierra Leoneans, reinforcing the shared vision of progress and mutual development.
