The Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has announced an intermittent 13-day blackout for 17 communities effective, 6th September 2025 due to inspections and corrective maintenance activities on the 33KV line bridging Kingtom and Wilberforce substations.

EDSA said the maintenance activity is geared towards strengthening sustainable power supply in areas feeding from the line. The affected areas will experience intermittent power supply and reduction in the duration of power supply during this unforeseen period.
The affected areas are as follows: Spur Road, Wilberforce, Imatt, Regent, Bathurst, Lumley, Atlantic Beach, Regent Road, Sheriff Drive, Malama, Pentagon, Juba, Goderich, Adonkia, Mambo and Sussex.
While the Authority made a plea for customers to schedule their activities during this period, it assured to work tirelessly to reduce outages to the minimum extent possible.
